Parade Time

Heather kicked off another rodeo season bright and early in Downtown Houston. Heather and Cindy arrived on time at 6:00 am and dressed in our yellow jackets, black hats and boots. We worked media again this year, which means standing on the parade route with the Speakers Committee as they announce the parade participants as they pass by. It was quite an ordeal on Heather's block at Dallas & Louisiana because the radio station never showed up! Fortunately the Speakers Committee had extra equipment and were up and running in no time. It was very challenging sorting through all of the last minute changes due to the weather. It was windy and raining again this year... After the last carriage and the "pooper sweepers" went by Heather & Cindy were ready for Birraporreti's! By the time Heather & Cindy got home that afternoon, all they wanted was a nap and something warm and dry to change into!
