well in almost 10 years of marriage and 2 children and 2 dogs later... we decide we want to leave our home of 10 years and build a new one. This decision didn't come lightly... we love our home it is a good size and has served us well. As Elissa embarks on kindergarten, we decided we want to be closer to a community that has more families our age and an environment for our family to flourish...We have chosen Bridgeland, close to Fry Road and 290, which is about 10 miles further west than our current home. Please pray that this is a great move for our family! We are very excited.

Elissa's big news...
Elissa is very excited to report that she will be a big sister this fall! We all are very excited about the new addition to the family. Baby Boyce will be making his/her debut around November 16th. Heather is feeling much better these days... the first 12 weeks were full of nausea and lots of naps... We saw the doctor for our 2nd appointment today and the baby waved at us in the ultrasound! Already a ham like Elissa! Fortunately the nausea is 10 times better these days and looking forward to the extra boost of energy the 2nd trimester brings.

Christmas Eve Gift...
We wish you all a very Merry Christmas... Elissa is very excited about Christmas this year. She has been counting the days of Christmas on an Advent Calendar and moving the mouse each day. She was really excited to see Santa this year... She was a big girl and didn't cry. The last two years have been an experience with Santa, so we were so happy that she smiled.

Today will be busy! Heather has 1 last gift to buy, unfortunately at the mall. Next, we will be stopping by to see Heather's family at her sister Cindy's. Then off to church and home for last minute wrapping and a nice quiet dinner with the 3 of us. We hope that Santa is good to you!

Carving the pumpkin...

Elissa, Heather and Nick had fun getting into the Halloween spirit by carving Elissa's pumpkin that she found in the pumpkin patch! She also "helped" put sprinkles on the sugar cookies.

Elissa was very excited when we put the battery powered candle in and turned off the lights... she said... Oooh...Spooky!

Headed to the pumpkin patch!
The Boyces had a great day with the Righters. We met at Clay's for a quick burger where we ran into Heather's Aunt Susan, Uncle Larry, Darlene, Darryl, Kendall, Karson and Landon... Karson is about 6 months older than Elissa, so they had fun playing in the sandbox!

After lunch we headed to Dewberry farm to have some fun bouncing on the "pillow" and running around in the pumpkin patch! Shelby and Elissa were quite the duo... Caleb didn't know quite what to think of the girls!

Happy Birthday Our Sweet Elissa!

It is so hard to believe that 3 years ago today we were at the hospital awaiting the arrival of our angel. After thirteen LONG hours, Elissa Nicole was finally here at 12:32 a.m. She is light of our lives, who knew that such a little person could bring so much joy! Even during the difficult days of "no", "why" and picking her own clothes, we wouldn't trade them for the world! Happy day baby girl... we love you! Mommy, Daddy, Buster and Billie too!

Elissa's 3 year check-up

Elissa enjoyed a quick snuggle with Nana before her annual visit with Dr. Miller... She is always so sweet to Elissa. After Elissa's trip to the ICU 2 years ago, Dr. Miller is a little protective of her! We appreciate the great care that we always receive! Elissa is doing great... 50th percentile for height and 75th for weight. Elissa was very good, except when they asked her to remove her new purple shoes (thanks aunt Carol!) to weigh and she threw a complete fit. As soon as she got of the scale, she promptly put them back on her feet. Just one shot today - the good ole FLU shot! Although, Dr. Miller did warn us that next year she wasn't going to get off so easy!
P.S. We are on night #2 of Elissa sleeping in her "big girl" bed! YEAH!!!!

Elissa's Birthday Party
Elissa had a great time at her birthday party today at the Children's Museum of Houston. The Cat in the Hat was the group's party guide. Everyone played really hard, including shopping at the market, milking a cow and learning about money!

At last it was time for cake... Heather found a great bakery - Take the Cake on Highway 6 - they did a beautiful job. Cake was decorated perfectly and was super moist!
