Hanging out with Deni

Deni was gracious enough to take us in for a few days while the power was restored in our neighborhood. Nick drove back and forth twice a day to check on the house and let the dogs out. Buster and Billie did really well and didn't hold a grudge for leaving them in the house with no A/C!

SYSCO was back up and running on Tuesday, September 16th and Nick returned to work on Wednesday. Pride did not get power until Tuesday, so only essential personnel was allowed back on Wednesday and everyone else followed on Thursday. We were fortunate that Elissa's school resumed on Thursday and we were blessed with power!

We had a great time at Deni's baking brownies and making dumplings. It was nice to spend some quality time with her since we live in the same city, most of our visits are only for a few hours for dinner or lunch and then we head home. So it was great to have the extra time with her.
