Elissa's Baptism

The Boyce/Whisennand family celebrated a great day with Elissa. She was baptized at Grace and lunch followed at the house with family. Aunt Barbara and Uncle Dave honored her by becoming her godparents. The luncheon turned into an after party featuring more ham and Carol's famous macaroni & cheese! Fun was had by all... unfortunately, work came early the next morning!!

A special thank you to everyone that helped out with the big day, we could not have done it without you...

Sunday Snuggles

After church and a wonderful Easter lunch, Elissa enjoyed snuggling with Uncle Tad and Grandma. Not to mention she put two and two together and realized that she really needed to figure out how Daddy's wallet worked. Dad wonders how long it will take her to figure out that it has something to do with smiling really cute and batting her long eye lashes!

Happy Easter

We hope that everyone had a wonderful Easter.

Elissa spent her first Easter in her Sunday best and watched Grandma sing in the choir.

I Do It Myself!

Elissa is showing off her new found independence by putting her pacifier in her mouth all by herself. Who cares if it is backward! She didn't mind.

Astro's Opening Day!

Elissa is ready for baseball season! She wore her Astros gear to school in support of opening day. She looked really cute, even if everyone thought that she was a boy!

Dinner with Aunt Barbara and Uncle Dave

Aunt Barbara and Uncle Dave joined us for dinner after our day filled with bluebonnets.Elissa enjoyed sleeping on Aunt Barbara.

Bluebonnets!

The Boyces started a new family tradition today. Heather and Nick took Elissa on a drive up to Washington County for a picnic and bluebonnets. The first detour was on Sausage Lane in Chappell Hill. Nick wanted some sausage from the famous Chappell Hill Sausage Company. A couple of pounds of sausage, beef jerky and jar of pickled asparagus later, they were back on the road. Apparently training for the MS150 was in full swing because there were people on bikes everywhere! They started to spy lots of bluebonnets and began looking for the perfect spot for pictures. Nick found a great spot on FM1155 between Chappell Hill and Washington on the Brazos to pull over. They weren't the only ones with the same idea, this was a very popular spot. Elissa cooperated with the picture taking until she fell face first into the bluebonnets... Then she was "spent". A nice lady took their picture and they were back on their way for the picnic. The picnic area at Washington on the Brazos was a popular spot, but they found a great place to sit and eat. Elissa dined on a nice 2006 variety of Enfamil and Nick and Heather enjoyed their fresh fruit and blue cheese and walnut salad. Texas is beautiful and today was a great reminder. It was great for the family to get away from the city lights and billboards to breathe a little fresh air and enjoy the country.
