Getting ready for rodeo...

or is it the circus? Elissa enjoys riding her elephant and often tests her balance (and Heather's patience) by standing on the elephant's back... BTW... THANKS Aunt Carol and Uncle Clinton!

Nobody puts baby in a corner...

except maybe the baby herself! Elissa wanted to know what was so special about "Billie's" corner and why she spent so much time there...

Helping mom...

Elissa wanted to help Heather in the kitchen... so she sported Heather's 1981 Care Bear apron... someone forgot to mention to Elissa that a health code violation was probably occuring due to the lack of other clothing... she still looked pretty cute!

Elissa's favorite new word...

Elissa's favorite new word is... "BALL". She can identify it when she sees it big, small or in a book... by the way she was looking really cute in the Mexican dress that Heather & Nick bought her in Cozamel.

Waiting for Pasta Noodle...

Everyone patiently waited for baby Pasta Noodle to arrive. Barbara has been a real trooper dealing with a really LONG labor... unfortunately a little longer than Heather's 13 hours. Dave was a great coach and documented all of the details on their blog...

Heather, Nick and Elissa dropped in for a visit around lunch time, but Barbara still had a long way to go... so they headed to Deni's house to celebrate her birthday with Fajitas and cheesecake. It was a nice visit with Deni, Grammie, Aunt Brenda, Uncle Mike, Katelynn and Zach. Congratulations is in order for Katelynn... she was accepted into the Medical Academy at Hightower High School where she will start in the fall as a Freshman. Seems like just yesterday, Aunt Heather was at the hospital waiting on her arrival. Everyone is very proud of her.

After checking in with Camp Pasta Noodle at TWH, Nick decided that they needed to head back to the hospital. Heather and Nick visited Aunt Barbara briefly as it was almost time for the baby's debut. Everyone was very patient in the waiting room, while Dave and the two Grandmas coached Barbara. Dave was a very proud daddy when he announced his baby boy to the waiting room. Dave showed a quick video of the handsome boy and quickly disappeared to join Barbara and the baby. Everyone jumped on the phone to share the good news... Can't wait to meet the new cousin/nephew tomorrow!

The Effect

After the discovery that the water issue wasn't just a quick mop up... adjusters were called and base boards removed, holes drilled into the wall in the 1/2 bath, pantry, dining room, entry way, under stairway closet, master bathroom and master closet... this was much bigger than Nick and Heather anticipated... After a week of industrial strength blowers, they are ready to get rid of the carpet and move on to tile!

Happy New Year!

Welcome 2007! We had a couple of friends over to watch bowl games, eat ham and blackeyed peas, celebrate the new TV Heather won at work. Things were great until the plumbing backed up! It isn't a party with the Boyces unless something breaks! Needless to say, we will be filing a claim to get the floor replaced.Elissa enjoys dancing to the ipod and holding court with the boys... she also really enjoys Heather's massage chair!
