Play Date with Shelby Ann

Elissa had her first "official" play date... it was fun for Heather & Nick too! They joined the Richters (Staci, Carmine & Shelby) for hamburgers and a trip to the park. The girls had a great time on the slide...
and the grandmas snuck in for a quick snuggle!

Elissa's "Photo Shoot"

Aunt Carol practiced her photography skills on Elissa in the park. There are some really beautiful pictures. Ike will have one heck of a baby book! Here are a couple of favorites...

Popcorn and a Movie...

Who can resist?

Happy Birthday Zach!

Elissa had fun at Zach's birthday party... especially "skating" with Uncle Mike! Heather had flashbacks to Junior High... She doesn't think Skate Central has changed much since then!

Time for Rodeo!

Elissa, Heather and Nick headed out to the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo to check out some animals and Miss Moo. The visit with Miss Moo was not as successful as last year, something about big stuffed characters and Santa that Elissa doesn't want ANY part of... They were able to check out the Grand Champion and the Reserve Champion steers.

Headed home

The last day in Florida included a nice trip to the Al Lopez park where they had a beautiful Cancer Survivor's plaza. Elissa was able to swing and climb on the playground to let off a little energy before getting on the plane. A quick stop at "Shells" for lunch (had to get that last ditch effort of good seafood before heading home!

Fiesta with the Newlyweds

Craig and Jen opened their home on Saturday for a fiesta send off before they left for Cabo. Elissa was introduced to her very first pinata and sweet tarts. She had the "kung foo death grip" working on the candy! Taking it away was not an option.

Elissa had fun in the hotel later hiding in the drawers...

Good morning sunshine!

After a late night at the wedding, Elissa had some serious bad hair in the morning!

Dr. & Mrs. Craig Burns

The wedding was beautiful at the Davis Islands Garden Club. The wedding was in the Gazebo outside overlooking the water. Elissa made it through the first 5 minutes and then Nick had to walk her to the back, she felt like saying a few words. Elissa enjoyed being the center of attention and danced with all of the girls.

Visit to St. Petersburg

The crew headed out to St. Petersburg for the day and had a great time walking along the pier with the pelicans. Lunch was fabulous at Dan Marino's restaurant. The weather was incredible the only thing missing was the stroller!

Welcome to Tampa!

Grandma, Grandpa and Uncle Tadd met Elissa, Heather and Nick at the airport... we checked into the hotel and introduced Elissa to Aunt Barbara (Nick's aunt) and Uncle Roger. They dropped off really cute welcome baskets from Craig and Jen. Dinner followed at an Irish Bar & Grill... food was good and the waitress had a great Irish accent.

Elissa's 1st plane ride...

Elissa, Heather & Nick flew to Tampa for cousin Craig's wedding. They were a little worried that they would end up like the couple who recently were escorted off of the plane because of their toddler's bad behavior. Fortunately, Heather "planned" the flight right around nap time, so Elissa was a little angel. She fell asleep right after we took off and work up right before we landed.

Dinner with the Pastas

After along day at the Azalea trail... we all went back to the Pastas for dinner with Grandma & Grandpa Boyce. Everyone got into a "friendly" game of 80s trivia, Ted was impressed by Barbara & Nick's singing. Dave and Elissa tried to enjoy quiet time that was until Barbara beat Nick...

The Azeala Trail

Heather, Nick & Elissa spent the day with Grandma and Grandpa Boyce and the Pastas (aka Barbara, Dave & Sean) at the Azelea trail.

They had a great time checking out Ima Hogg's beautiful gardens at Bayou Bend. One of Heather's favorites is the Carla garden which was named after an area in the garden was cleared by Hurricane Carla. She placed a beautiful peacock in the garden, shown here.

Happy Birthday Cary!

Heather, Nick & Elissa joined Cary, Michele, Robin and Melissa for Mexican food and lots of fun for Cary's birthday. The Mariachi's serenaded Cary and Elissa had her first experience on the play ground... she is hooked. This child has NO FEAR unfortunately. Michele and Robin had to jump in and show off their nursing skills to help a waitress who had fainted.
